Why The Bee
Melissa Ann
Melissa means honeybee in Greek. I didn’t choose my name, but over time I came to understand the meaning woven into it.
When I encountered Devorah, the Hebrew word for honeybee, and discovered its connection to Devar — the Word — something began to make sense.
The bee carries both sweetness and sting. So do words. They can wound, awaken, heal and bring life to places that have grown dry.
Melissa Ann Speaks is my journey of finding my voice, turning bitter pollen into liquid gold, and creating a space for healing, restoration, purpose and hope.
